About the Role: 
Apollo is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our growing team and help shape how farmers access farm inputs & products, credit, and customized advice at scale. As a part of the Business Intelligence team, you will be responsible for delivering timely, accurate, and relevant information to decision makers across the company. Our primary responsibility is to provide the data necessary to support marketing, operations, finance, credit, logistics, and communications teams in their achievements and goals, and to help decision makers steer the company towards making intelligent decisions. Your role is to be an analytical thought partner for key decision makers in our operations and commercial orgs, and you’ll have the opportunity to build a complete understanding of a fast-growing startup while developing your technical skills and business acumen.
Management: Reports to the BI and Data Warehouse Lead

Responsibilities:

    • Create, maintain, and audit dashboards for reliable use by teams across the whole business
    • Influence business operations as an expert on company operations; be an analytical thought partner for the leads of our commercial org
    • Leverage a deep understanding of our data to proactively suggest strategic technical, product, and business investments
    • Mentor a rapidly growing team of world-class data analysts
    • Translate business problems into technical solutions for data infrastructure & engineering development
    • Work with teams across the company to match their priorities and goals with the right key performance indicators
    • Contribute to setting the team’s priorities and strategic roadmap to balance the needs of the business and our users and the team’s level of technical debt

You:

    • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Economics, Math, Computer Science, or another quantitative field
    • Have 3-5 years of commercial analytics experience
    • Are a bit of a stats nerd
    • Thrive as a mentor and leader
    • Write fluent SQL, the lingua franca of Apollo data analytics
    • Can tell a great story that’s backed up by the data
    • Great organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent written & oral communication skills
    • Want to solve the commercial and strategic needs of an evolving business (as opposed to solving mostly technical problems)
    • Have a keen sense of sound technical design and informative data visualization
