Your Role
As Director of Data & Analytics, you will play an important role in shaping our overall data vision, strategy, governance, and ways of working, as well as leading the team that will bring it to life. You will also deliver key business insights to guide business strategy by leading the development of metrics, dashboard strategy, and analytics strategy.

What You Will Do

    • Set the vision & strategic direction of the Analytics function at KOKO
    • Work closely with our Product and Engineering teams to define and maintain KOKO’s data framework (architecture, governance, ETL pipelines, analytics platforms, etc.)
    • Design and develop automation tools to streamline day-to-day activities
    • Apply business strategy while managing our in-house Analytics platform and continuously evolving our extract-transform-load (ETL), balancing short term and long term needs to ensure architecture and analytics can scale and evolve
    • Serve as a trusted business partner to company leadership by leveraging data to generate actionable business insights in priority areas
    • Build models to identify trends, forecast performance, and identify improvements to company strategy, products, and operations across business areas
    • Design and run data analyses to generate insights and guide decision-making
    • Design and prepare company and departmental dashboards and other key stakeholder reporting
    • Own the roadmap for KOKO’s data assets, which support the team in strategic and operational decision making
    • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and overall integrity of business metrics
    • Develop and maintain business intelligence documentation, training materials, best practices, and overall data toolkit, including our data dictionary
    • Recruit, lead, and mentor a team of data engineers, data analysts, and data scientists

What You Will Bring to KOKO

    • Master’s degree, ideally in Computer Science, Math/Statistics, Engineering, or Business
    • 15+ years of experience in a related field, with a track record of high performance
    • 8+ years of management experience building and mentoring teams, including prior experience running a data/analytics team within a growth stage startup on corporate
    • Familiarity & facility with analytics platforms such as Tableau, Domo, or Looker
    • Coding experience in SQL, Python, Excel, and advanced statistical methods
    • Well developed communication skills, especially on technical subjects, adaptable to suit business and engineering audiences as appropriate
    • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, ideally with prior experience at a growth-stage startup or multinational corporate as a data leader and business partner
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to bridge gaps across cultures and backgrounds
    • Expert data analysis and synthesis skills, including expertise with Excel and PowerPoint
    • Unquestionable integrity and ability to embed company culture and values within teams
