Your Role
The Data Analyst role at KOKO Labs is a career-defining opportunity to drive the analytics function across all of KOKO
Labs’ innovation program areas. As the Data analyst, you will develop data and analytics functions within the KOKO
Labs team by collaborating cross functionally with departments across KOKO Labs, including Research, Design,
Engineering and Test Operations. As there are diverse R&D program areas within Labs, you will play a key role in
thinking through what data is needed to make key decisions for research in very different thematic areas. You will be
expected to take accountability, influence decision making, deal with a high degree of uncertainty and help shape
overall innovation strategy through data driven insights. You will work hands on with program teams to identify data
needs, build and update existing data pipelines as needed and design dashboards.

What you will do

    • Build the infrastructure for data collection, analysis, and distribution within Labs.
    • Work with Program Managers to determine business intelligence requirements for each R&D Program
    • Understand what data is needed to make key decisions for each program.
    • Understand what different sources of data there are for each program and help guide collection methods and formatting to optimise data analyses and business intelligence.
    • Work with Labs software and hardware prototyping teams to integrate with data analysis infrastructure and ensure the correct data is being collected in the best format.
    • Analyse current data being collected and provide detailed guidance for improving how data is collected
    • Design, build and update ETL pipelines to ensure efficient design.
    • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and overall integrity of business metrics.
    • Build models to identify trends, forecast performance, and identify improvements to company strategy, products, and operations.
    • Design and run data analyses to guide decision-making and strategy.
    • Design and prepare dashboards and other key stakeholder reporting.
    • Enable the success of KOKO Team Members by supporting them in accessing, understanding, and utilising data
    • Develop and maintain business intelligence documentation, training materials, best practices, and overall data toolkit

What you will bring to KOKO

    • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or Economics.
    • Experience in data analysis, consulting, finance, or other quantitatively rigorous role (ideally 2+ years).
    • The ability to balance priorities, clarify stakeholder requirements, pay keen attention to detail, and generally keep deliverables on schedule
    • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Domo, Tableau, Power BI, Metabase, Looker or any other.
    • Experience in SQL, Excel and statistical methods. R and Python an added plus).
    • Analytics Engineering and ETL building experience.
    • Ability to communicate technical details clearly and concisely to management & external stakeholders.
    • A curious mind and a passion for problem-solving, data, and analytics.
    • Comfort in a fast-paced, growth-stage start-up environment
