The Great Hack – Ai Kenya Public screening & discussion
Details
Artificial Intelligence has the potential to revolutionize societies in positive ways. However, as with any scientific or technological advancement, there is a real risk that the use of new tools by states or corporations will have a negative impact on human rights, including the right to privacy.
In this event in collaboration with Alliance Francaise Nairobi, we will be exploring some of the impacts of artificial intelligence on data privacy and data protection by watching a documentary and having a discussion afterward.
The Great Hack is a 2019 documentary film about the Facebook–Cambridge Analytica data scandal, produced and directed by Jehane Noujaim and Karim Amer. The film uses the Cambridge Analytica scandal as a framework to illustrate the data mining structures and algorithms that are undermining individual liberty and democratic society.
